A blog islike a pesonal diary. In the context of a business, it would be used to share information, ideas, products and programs. It can also be used for updates. It can also get your site spidered faster. In a sense it is a smaller version of your website. A blog used correctly can also generate income.....and that makes blogging exciting.

A blog is a whole different idea than your websites. Basically, most websites are not generally updates daily, where a blog  is updated a lot more frequently. They are in a sense like diary entries.  In essences your "home page gets updated as often as you update your blog with a new post.

The search engines love it when you do updates. So the search engines are getting those posts and indexing them everytime that you write a new post.Every time you send out a new post, it sends out a "ping" to the internet search engines. These pings, send out a signal to the blog servers around the world. The search engines then index that post a lot quicker than they would a website.
